The Tammy Wilson Foundation
Tammy Wilson was a wonderful wife and mother, beloved friend, and dedicated paramedic who spent her life in service to the people of Guilford County. Tammy passed away at a very young age after a long courageous battle with cancer in February 2006 leaving behind two children, Megan and Collin. After such a long battle with her terminal illness, several of her co-workers and friends saw a need to reach out and help not only her children, but any children of fallen paramedics, in North Carolina.
The Tammy Wilson Foundation is a nonprofit organization that evolved in memory and honor of Tammy Wilson. After such a long battle with her terminal illness, several of her co-workers and friends saw a need to reach out and help not only her children, but any children of fallen paramedics, in North Carolina. Our foundation is a federal 501 (c) 3 and all donations are tax deductible. Annually The Tammy Wilson Foundation holds an event called the Tour de Tammy. This event includes 10, 20, 30, and 63 mile bike rides and a Fun Run/Walk route.
